Shrimp are always a great choice in the kitchen, especially because they need only five minutes of cooking. This recipe does require a little planning, however, as the shrimp need to marinate for at least four hours. The marinade combines Maraška aceto, sage honey, garlic, sage and parsley, and when it is time to eat, everything goes straight into a well-heated wok.

600 g shrimp
3 tablespoons honey, preferably sage honey
100 ml olive oil
3 cloves garlic, crushed
4 tablespoons Maraška aceto
a few finely chopped fresh sage leaves or 2 pinches dried, crumbled sage
1 bunch parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the shrimp
Remove the heads from the shrimp if desired. The quickest and neatest way to remove the legs is with ordinary kitchen scissors. - Mix the marinade
In a large bowl, combine the honey, olive oil, crushed garlic, Maraška aceto, sage and chopped parsley. Pour the marinade over the shrimp and turn them several times so they are evenly coated on all sides. - Refrigerate
Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator. Leave the shrimp in the marinade for at least four hours. - Cook everything in a wok
Heat the wok well, then add the shrimp together with all of the marinade. Sauté for five minutes over high heat. Stir and turn them constantly so they cook evenly on all sides.
What Makes the Difference?
The wok needs to be really hot before you add the shrimp. They cook very quickly, for just five minutes, and should be stirred and turned constantly. Since the marinade contains honey, it is important not to let it sit in one spot on the bottom of the wok, where it could burn.
How to Serve
As soon as the five minutes are up, transfer the shrimp straight from the wok to the plates. Serve immediately as a warm appetizer with a good white wine.
Enjoy!
